Medios nacionales anuncian que este 10 de septiembre inició la primera fase de venta de boletos para la Copa del Mundo de la FIFA 2026, que se realizará en México, Estados Unidos y Canadá. Sin embargo, esto no es así.
De acuerdo con la información de la FIFA, este miércoles comenzó el sorteo de preventa de clientes Visa para conseguir entradas para el Mundial. Si bien los usuarios tienen hasta el 19 de septiembre para registrarse, esto sólo es para la tómbola para ser uno de los que cuenten con acceso a la compra de boletos.
En el momento en la que los aficionados se registren para el sorteo preferente de Visa no afecta las probabilidades de quedar seleccionados. Tras un proceso de selección aleatoria, los ganadores recibirán una notificación por correo electrónico a partir del 29 de septiembre. En esa fecha recibirán una fecha y hora para adquirir sus boletos, aunque esto es sujeto a disponibilidad. El periodo de asignación de dichos horarios comenzará el 1 de octubre.

“El hecho de quedar seleccionado en el sorteo no garantiza la disponibilidad de boletos en el horario asignado. Una vez iniciada la venta, se ofrecerán boletos para partidos individuales para los 104 encuentros, así como boletos específicos por sede y por equipo”, especifica la FIFA.
La venta arrancará con boletos para la fase de grupos disponibles desde 60 dólares. No obstante, esta primera fase es exclusiva para clientes Visa que cumpla los requisitos solicitados por la FIFA.
Entre los requisitos es ser mayor de 18 años y ser el titular (principal o secundario) de una tarjeta Visa válida, vigente y habilitada con 3D Secure, ya sea de débito, crédito o prepago recargable.

¿Y si no tengo Visa?
Tranquilo, esta no es la única oportunidad para comprar boletos. La segunda fase será el sorteo de boletos desde el 27 al 31 de octubre.
El 5 de diciembre será la tercera fase; a mediados de diciembre, la cuarta fase, de acuerdo a selecciones al azar; y la última fase será poco tiempo antes del inicio del Mundial, donde se venderán los últimos boletos disponibles.
